Serious question: if murdering people who are attempting to overthrow the government is illegal, what is the purpose of the Second Amendment?

Makes you wonder – the part about “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Which is the entirety of the thing – free State? Do you think they meant free from a non-native oligarch running the country? Nah otherwise all those patriots would be – yanno – shooting him.
