Why I Am Against Democrats, Republicans, and Libertarians

I’ve been stating that I am a socialist. I am a member of various groups on Facebook and when I attack Trump, I am called a “socialist Democrat.” I am not a Democrat. Democrats are capitalists just like Republicans, but the public is uneducated and don’t know the distinction. I used to think I was Libertarian, but they’re just extreme Republicans. I thought I’d lay out why I am against the Democrats, Republicans, and Libertarians.

Republicans

Republicans are capitalism’s biggest defenders. Their pro-corporate, anti-worker policies directly clash with my goals. As someone who leans toward libertarian socialism, the GOP’s obsession with deregulation, tax cuts for the wealthy, and union-busting infuriates me. Trump, especially is a major problem, and Republicans have embraced him fully. I think they have split off into two factions: Republicans and MAGA. MAGA is just Republicanism pushed to the extreme. MAGA is a natural enemy to what I’m against. On another note, Republicans push policies that promote population growth, and being an anti-natalist I am wholeheartedly against this. It completely goes against my ethics

Democrats

My opposition to Democrats comes from their failure to actually challenge capitalism and make meaningful change. While they talk about fairness, they ultimately uphold the same capitalist system I want to disrupt. They’ll tweak the edges, sure, but won’t challenge the core of the problem. They campaign on progressive ideas but rarely follow through in ways that matter. Medicare for All? Green New Deal? They talk big, but cave to corporate interests. They also take money from the same corporations and billionaires that Republicans do. They talk about progressivism but won’t truly take on the rich. Furthermore, even as Republicans become more extreme, Democrats often respond with weakness instead of fighting back aggressively. Their strategy of “let’s be reasonable” isn’t working.

Libertarians

Libertarians are more defenders of capitalism and they are against collective action. They worship the free market and want fewer regulations which make things worse for the working class and the environment. They reject collective solutions in favor of “personal responsibility,” which is useless when fighting systemic problems like wealth inequality or climate change. While I’m an anti-natalist and don’t give a shit if there are future generations, you’d think they’d give a little more of a shit about their future generations. I’ve said before that I used to worship Ayn Rand, but I learned the error of my ways. I saw through her selfish philosophy, but Libertarians never grew out of it. I especially hate their rejection of solidarity.

In summation: Republicans openly serve the rich, push corporate control, and embrace authoritarianism. Democrats pretend to care about change but protect capitalism and avoid real action. Libertarians worship the free market, reject collective solutions, and would let corporations run wild.

At the core, all three prioritize profit over people and resist the kind of radical change I believe is necessary.

  1. Myself, I’m a liberal, actually liked Trudeau. The conservative leader in Canada has the same mindset as Trump, who I think is the fucking anti-christ just waiting to reveal himself…I’m really not that politically motivated, and only follow American politics to see if I have to start building a bomb shelter. I love living here in Windsor, Ontario, but dread the fact that Detroit is just a stones throw across the river.

To me, it doesn’t matter which way we lean politically, most politicians are all the same. They tell the uniformed what they want to hear, because since they are uninformed they will believe them. The informed will believe them because they want to, and they just throw more money at them to secure that belief.

There is too much money involved in the whole process, and since Trump threw Musk into the mix, it has turned into one big clusterfuck.

I would probably care much more, but am not very smart when politics are involved. Like I said above, I’ve never really paid much attention to politics till the orange gremlin got involved. I actually know more about American politics than Canadian politics, so now you know how much I don’t know about politics! Good post though!

    1. I didn’t give a shit until 2020. For the longest time I just assumed, “Whomever wins, Democrat or Republican, they’re going to do what’s best for the country.” I don’t think that way anymore. Trump and the Republicans now are going to do what’s good for their bank accounts, especially now that Elon Musk has entered the political stage. Republicans refuse to stop Trump and Democrats are too chicken shit to stop Trump and upset the status quo of capitalism and their own corporate interests.

  2. Our “Liberal Party” began life as a libertarian party, which a lot of people were keen on, they moved to the right and became increasingly conservative then hopped into bed with Christian lobby’s, mining and foreign interests, and quite openly. Their popularity has sunk to an all time low recently – especially with their support of Oranjesus.

The Labour party – our liberals – has all but abandoned the people they started representing and have disappeared up the be nice to everyone route, ineffectual, increasingly seduced by capitalism – as your guys are, if the labour party was a colour it would be what would happen when you mixed all the colours of the rainbow in a tin – grey. Boring, useless, toothless, but great if you are 3-4 types of confused about life.

The worst party we have is the greens, they believe that everyone should be forced to buy a bicycle, made of soya bean waste and that we should ride that bike on a fund raiser to free Tibet. Every last person in the greens is a rich kid who talks big but eventually gives their vote to the Liberal party so they can shoot down Labour’s housing bill because it isn’t as large as the defence budget – so no one but the conservatives win. That actually happed. For a vague promise to give kangaroos access to free dental the greens shot down the biggest housing for the poor bill in Australian history. God I hate hippies.

    1. When I voted for the first time in 2020, I voted Libertarian because I didn’t know any better. I couldn’t vote Democrat because Joe Biden was too old. I couldn’t vote Republican because Donald Trump was too old and too fucking stupid. Then I started doing more reading on Libertarians and realized while they have some good ideas, at their heart they are Republicans on crack.

We have a Green Party as well who are all about saving the environment and everyone driving hybrid cars, but it’s just a dream and would never come to fruition.

Sadly, we have no other choice but the Democrats and Republicans in this country. The only person that gave us a fighting chance was Bernie Sanders, but the DNC pushed him the fuck out to make way for the super corrupt Hillary Clinton. That’s why I didn’t vote in 2016: it was her or Trump and I refused to vote for either.
